A passion for writing and stories to tell. That’s me. Finally retirement is upon me and a new season of life that begins with a move to Lynchburg, Virginia, after 30 years in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. I am grateful for the life that God created me to live. It isn’t at all what I dreamed about as a little girl in thinking ahead to what I wanted to be when I grew up. No, then I wanted to have and be the best and live happily ever after.
Instead, I discovered that I was born with an inherent desire to sin and a sense of pride that left me trying to please everyone but my Father God and left me far from happy. From rebellious relationships, to an unexpected pregnancy before marriage, to ending that pregnancy, to a difficult marriage with the only true love of my life, to divorce, and seven children to provide for—and then finally in my late 40’s I met head on the forgiveness of Jesus Christ which profoundly changed all my attitudes and outlooks. I have been blessed beyond all measure, (just look at the pictures of my family on this page). God has brought salvation to my household and to my children’s children and that in itself is incredibly amazing!
Professionally, I’ve done public relations for non-profits, childcare, Christian publishing, owned a business, and for the past 11 years, I’ve been the Executive Director of two different pregnancy resource centers—most recently Pregnancy Resource Center of the Poconos in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. (Shout out to all the good people there!) All of it has been super rewarding! And now the beauty of the Blue Ridge mountains has captivated my daughter, Kimberly, and I, as we begin together a new home in Virginia, eagerly awaiting whatever God has in store. For many years my prayerful desire has been to write. I am ready. To Him be all the glory!
